Dr Titus S. Imboma is passionate about bird research and bird conservation and scientific collections. He is the curator of the Birds of East Africa Gallery at the Nairobi National Museum, where he has worked since 1998. Additionally, he coordinates bird ringing, training activities and the ornithology course organized jointly by the museum, Nature Kenya and Tropical Biology Association. He is interested in the study of ecosystem services provided by birds, especially their biological pest control, pollination and aesthetic cultural values.
Dr Imboma has an extensive educational background with a Diploma in Environmental Management and Conservation from the Wildlife Training and Research Institute, and a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Wildlife Management and Conservation, and Biology of Conservation respectively both from the University of Nairobi. For his doctorate, Dr Imboma received a PhD in Agri-ecology and Insect control in Plant Protection from the Fujian University of Agriculture and Forestry, China.
