Jane is an entomologist with special interest in insect pollinators especially bees. Her research focuses on bee ecology, pollination, taxonomy and beekeeping with a wide range of landscapes including urban, agricultural and natural ecosystems. She is currently working on research around habitat heterogeneity and how it affects bee species assemblages in an Urban Botanic Garden in Kenya, and plant-pollinator interaction in urban ecosystems in Kenya
Jane has a Masters degree in Agricultural Entomology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and a Bachelor of Science in Dryland and Natural Resource Management from Africa Nazarene University (ANU).
