Julias Juma Ogega is a distinguished Heritage Educationist and Researcher currently serving as the Acting Keeper for the Western Region at the Directorate of Antiquities, Sites, and Monuments. With a career spanning over a decade, Julias has made significant contributions to the preservation and dissemination of Kenya's rich cultural heritage.

Julias is a proud alumni member of NextGen: The Next Generation of Museum Leaders, where he honed his skills and leadership abilities between 2005 and 2016. His journey in the realm of heritage preservation began in 2007 when he assumed the role of Education Officer II at the Heroes/Heroines Commemoration Unit, within the Directorate of Regional Museums, Sites, and Monuments, National Museums of Kenya.

His dedication to enhancing comprehension and reverence for Kenya's cultural heritage is demonstrated through his significant contribution "Oral Traditions in the Conservation of Earthen Architecture," presented at The 10th International Conference on the Study and Conservation of Earthen Architectural Heritage. Through his research and educational initiatives, Julias aims to bridge the gap between traditional knowledge systems and modern conservation practices, ensuring the sustainability of Kenya's diverse heritage for future generations.
